Membership information

WAIER encourages everyone interested in educational research to join our community. Membership includes access to our regular WAIER Digest, which provides updates about events, publications, opportunities, and more.

Membership runs from July – June each year. Your membership fees make it possible for WAIER to continue to support educational researchers.

Anyone wishing to attend the 2024 Research Forum at the membership price will need to join or renew their membership.

As a WAIER member, you are part of Western Australia’s premier research organisation, connecting academics, researchers and under-graduate students across WA’s 5 universities, with classroom practitioners, school administrators and other education professionals, in a powerful network that advocates for, and supports, research in education. As a member, you are at the heart of WA’s educational research community, with access to research digests, seminars, research grants and awards.

This year we have some exciting developments, linking WAIER with the Australian Council of Educational Research (ACER) and our counterpart organisation, the South Australian Institute for Educational Research (SAIER), to provide joint seminar presentations. Expert presenters will demystify research methodologies and approaches.

At a time of severe funding cuts to educational research, there has never been a greater need to come together, to support one another, and to raise our collective voice. Please join WAIER and help us to encourage, enthuse and educate by means of high class, rigorous research.
