2025 WAIER Early Career Award
The aim of this award is to recognise excellence early in an academic/research career and to encourage continuing contributions to research. The award is an incentive as well as an acknowledgment of early success and it is hoped that the person receiving the award would proceed to complete further research of excellent quality.
The Early Career Award winner will receive:
• A framed certificate commemorating the award
• WAIER Research Forum registration fee reimbursement
Closing date for applications: Tuesday July 1, 2025
Nomination for the Early Career Award is by letter and can be self or colleague nominated. The same conditions apply regardless of who makes the nomination. The application must provide evidence of an excellent standard of research and of the nominee’s achievements early in an academic/research career, as outlined in the selection criteria.
The award is open to applicants who:
• have been awarded a Doctoral degree in the area of Education within the last five (5) years;
• are studying or working at a Western Australian educational institution (e.g., early childhood centre, school, TAFE, university, government or non-government agency); and
• register for the 2025 WAIER Forum, being held on 16th August, and submit an abstract for a presentation.

Applications will close Tuesday July 1, 2025. The winner of the Early Career Award will be announced at the annual WAIER Forum on Saturday, 16th August 2025.
