Participation in the WAIER Forum provides the opportunity to learn about developments at the forefront of educational research in Western Australia. It also enables current researchers to present papers reporting their own research. This year, the WAIER Research Awards and Dinner will be held on Friday Evening, 27 August (WAIER Research Awards and Dinner) and the WAIER Forum will be conducted at Notre Dame University on Saturday Afternoon, 28 August (Paper Presentations).

Please submit your Forum Registration by 6 August. Members who wish to present a paper at the Forum must submit an abstract as detailed under Abstract Submission by 6 August.

WAIER Research Awards and Dinner, at the Esplanade Hotel, corner Essex Street and Marine Terrace, Fremantle.

There is parking on the harbour side of Marine Terrace opposite the Esplanade Hotel

  1. Venue: It is best for you to enter the University of Notre Dame Australia from the main entrance on Mouat Street, Fremantle.

  2. Parking: There is some parking in the university car park located on the corner of Cliff Street and Croke Lane. Metered parking is available in the streets around the university at 80 cents per hour but there is a two hour limit. The public carpark opposite the Esplanade Hotel is also 80 cents per hour but there is no limit. Both venues are easily accessible from the Fremantle and the Esplanade Train Stations.

  3. If you are presenting a written paper, please bring a disk copy of it to the registration desk on Saturday 28 August (Word for Windows or Macintosh), for publication of your paper on WAIER's new website. However, that is optional, and although you are welcome to submit for publication, you are not required to.
