Early Career Award



The aim of this award is to recognise excellence early in an academic/research career and to encourage continuing contributions to research. The award is an incentive as well as an acknowledgment of early success and it is hoped that the person receiving the award would proceed to complete further research of excellent quality.
Nominations for the award close 1 June 2011

The nomination is by letter outlining excellence and a copy of the nominee's CV [Award Nomination Form]. Up to three professional references may be attached to the application. The nomination can be by self or by colleague. The conditions of nominations apply to both. A short list of nominees may be asked for further evidence of their educational research potential.

The award is open to those:

Nominations must be accompanied by a Forum abstract as per the guidelines on the Forum information forms [Abstract submission]. For information about past Award recipients, see [Early Career Award Recipients].

A committee of the executive of WAIER, representing the five universities, will review nominations and select a winner. The award will be announced at the annual WAIER Forum, Saturday 13 August 2011 [Forum 2011 Invitation].
